Three Wisconsin lakes ranked in country’s “25 Best Lake Vacations”

WISCONSIN (CIVIC MEDIA) – Three Wisconsin lakes were listed as the best lake vacation spots in the nation.

In Travel + Leisure’s “25 Best Lake Vacations in the US”, Wisconsin lakes had three appearances in the top 15 – including the number one spot.

Lake Superior in Michigan, Minnesota and Wisconsin is number one on the list, being labeled as the best lake for fishing. Lake Winnebago in northeast Wisconsin was number eight, just cracking the top 10; Travel + Leisures called it the best lake for windsurfing. Iconic Lake Michigan on the borders of Wisconsin, Michigan, Indiana and Illinois comes in at number 12, being recognized as the best lake for beaches.
