A Pig in a Fur Coat to close at the end of September
MADISON, Wis. (WMDX) – A renowned Madison restaurant is closing.
A Pig in a Fur Coat will close its doors toward the end of September. Owners Dan Bonanno and Bonnie Arent made the announcement on social media Tuesday, Aug 19.
It opened to great acclaim in 2012. There aren’t many places to get octopus in Madison.
Bonanno was a James Beard Award semifinalist in 2022 for his work at A Pig in a Fur Coat. He was named Madison Magazine’s Best Chef of 2017.
The owners will be keeping the Willy Street location, but they’ll turn it into another Alimentari. The classic Italian deli currently has one location on Monroe Street.
A Pig in a Fur Coat will serve its last meals September 26.
