Farmers’ Market on Broadway extends September hours & schedules bonus market
GREEN BAY, Wis. (WGBW) – The Farmers’ Market on Broadway announced it will extend the market hours in September until 8 p.m., starting with today’s market.
Additionally, it has scheduled a bonus market for Wednesday, October 1, from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m.
Originally, the Farmers’ Market on Broadway planned to operate on Wednesdays from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. However, the 2025 season has been marred by several weather-related events, resulting in cancellations and early closures.
“For the many farmers and small businesses who vend at the market, including many Broadway District businesses, they depend on the event happening weekly to make a living,” On Broadway, the organization that runs and promotes the Farmers’ Market, said in a press release. “We received a lot of feedback from businesses on ways to mitigate this impact.”
Officials believe that extending the hours and adding a bonus market will increase foot traffic for vendors and businesses.
As one of Wisconsin’s largest farmers’ markets, the Farmers’ Market on Broadway, celebrating its 22nd year. Over 120 vendors line Broadway, between Dousman and Walnut streets, offering an array of seasonal & fresh produce, baked goods, carry-out foods, coffee & teas, meats, cheeses, flowers & plants, handcrafted goods, and more.
