RIPON, Wis (WRPN)- Vehicles hit a house and a school bus in two separate accidents in Fond du Lac County this morning. According to County Sheriff’s officials the first accident was reported at 1:01 am at W1621 Christy Lane in the Town of Auburn.
Deputies found an SUV in the front yard of the residence with significant structural damage to the front of the home. The SUV was heading east on Christy Lane, went down a private driveway and struck the front of the residence.
The 32-year-old Campbellsport woman driving the SUV was not wearing a seatbelt. She was taken to St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac with minor injuries. Alcohol is believed to be a factor, and she was arrested on suspicion of OWI causing injury.
Two people were in the home. One was asleep in the bedroom that took a direct hit from the SUV and was taken to Froedtert Hospital in West Bend with minor injuries. The other occupant wasn’t injured.

The second accident happened just after 7 am on County Highway W just west of St. Paul Road. An eastbound passenger car struck the rear of a stopped school bus while the bus’s warning lights and stop arm were activated.
The bus was carrying 12 children, none of whom were injured. The 56-year-old Malone woman driving the car suffered minor injuries and was transported for treatment. She told deputies sunlight may have been a contributing factor in the crash.
