This Wednesday, one of our callers kicks off the discussion on the Trump administration’s self-inflicted wounds. On CNN, Matt Priest of Footwear Distribution and Retailers of America shared details of just how expensive shoes will be in the coming months. Republican Rand Paul explained on CNBC that Trump has been lying about how our tariffs with Canada actually work. Our country is retaliating against tariffs that have literally never gone into effect. 

While discussing this on the air, many outlets broke the news that Trump intends to pause his newest tariffs for 90 days, but only for some countries. He also announced an increase in tariffs on China to 125%. Trump’s unpredictable behavior is far worse for the world economy than tariffs alone.
