WAUTOMA, Wis (WAUH)- Oshkosh Police Tuesday afternoon arrested a 20-year-old Menasha man on charges of first-degree recklessly endangering safety and attempted first degree reckless homicide.

Detectives were able to identify him as the person responsible for shooting a 19-year old man in the shoulder in Oshkosh on Saturday, August 2nd.

Investigators had initiated a surveillance operation on the suspect.  He was seen entering a business in the 100 block of North Mall Drive in Grand Chute. He tried to flee through the back door of an adjacent business when he was caught.

They got a search warrant for his residence in the 1100 block of Grove Street in Menasha. During the subsequent search they found two loaded firearms in his bedroom: a Glock .45 caliber handgun with a laser attachment and a MAC-10 style 9 millimeter firearm.

Oshkosh Police were aided in their investigation by police from Fond du Lac, Green Bay, Grand Chute, and Menasha.
